day 2

i arrived at the apartment in the 18th arrondissement yesterday early afternoon to discover our beautiful view:

i put my stuff down, took a quick shower in our typical leaky french shower (i don’t get it but hey, david lebovitz agrees it’s a problem), ate a quick croque monsieur at genier de pan and ran off to the grand palais.

i wandered around dynamo…

which thankfully was filled with some of my favorite artists like alexander calderdan flavin and anish kapoor

then i ran off to the palais de tokyo for some super contemporary business. the building was spectacular more than the art, hence the lack of pictures.

i headed back to the apartment around 6pm, wandered around, got some bread from the local boulangerie, some cheese from the fromagerie (i went a lil crazy), some pate de fois from this lovely little grab and go butcher dinnertogo and somethingorother place (it was kind of like a minimini parisian version of joans on third) and a bottle of rose.

then it was early to bed. i slept for 12 hours. man was i exhausted.

now i’m waiting for lovely kat to arrive, drinking some mariage freres tea (my fave) and some pampemousse rose yogurt (i die).
